Simulation is a key enabler on the journey and a means to unlock new business value. In this presentation the role of simulation in digital transformation will be discussed, with examples and challenges to be addressed.


Curriculum

On May 1st 2017, Tom Kindermans was appointed ANSYS Vice President EMEA. He works broadly across the 5 regions to strive for operational optimization. He manages 5 regions which are South West Europe (Benelux, Italy, Iberia, Israel), DACH (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), North East Europe (Nordics, Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey), France (France, Africa) and UKI (UK, Ireland).

Tom Kindermans joined ANSYS beginning of 2013 as Vice President Asia Pacific. He has brought a significant amount of professional and regional experience to this position, in addition to a solid business acumen and leadership quality. Under his management, the Asia Pacific region modified its go‐to‐market strategy and was set up for sustainable, double‐digit Prior to his role at ANSYS, Tom joined SAP in 2005 where he started as Vice President of Channel Sales globally. Later, he was Senior Vice President for SME EMEA and the last 5 years of his tenure at SAP, he worked in the Asia Pacific region as Senior Vice President.

Before SAP, Tom Kindermans spent eight years at Siemens Communications where he held several executive management positions and became Senior Vice President of the company’s indirect channels. Tom Kindermans also occupied various sales and marketing functions at Canon, serving as Account Executive, Product Manager and Regional and National Sales Manager during his six years within the company.

Tom graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium where he pursued a combined curriculum of engineering and business economics. He speaks multiple languages such as English, German, French and Dutch fluently.
